Why do I need a bookkeeper?

Bookkeeping is so much more than simply "data entry" and requires a vast body of knowledge to produce accurate results.  It's important to know how your business is doing financially.  A professionally trained bookkeeper can compile your receipts, bank statements, and other documentation into reports you can use and would feel comfortable providing to others outside of your company.

Is hiring an external service safe?

Believe it or not, hiring an individual outside of your company will provide safeguards against fraud and embezzlement.  We serve as an independent set of eyes to review financial transactions which will increase your internal controls.  If anything looks out of place, we will notify you immediately.  We maintain strict confidentiality and treat your information as if it were our own.

How do I keep control of my money and decisions?

You maintain 100% control of your finances by deciding which vendors to pay and how they are paid.  You will have improved control with reports that provide you the information you need to make financial decisions. We will provide you with the data you need so you can approve, sign, and send payments.

Do I have to leave my current accountant?

We encourage you to stay with your accountant.  The services we offer work in hand in hand with your CPA to relieve the pressure of financial reporting and make the end of period process easier for you and your CPA.  We work with many CPAs and would be happy to help you find one if you do not already have one.

How does your bookkeeping service work?

We can perform services at your office in person or remotely. After determining your business needs, we decide on a schedule and location for your bookkeeping. We will take your documentation for entry into the accounting system and create reports relevant to your business.

How do we get help when we need it?

Support comes included with your bookkeeping package.  You will never be left alone to solve an accounting problem on your own.  Our support page has multiple ways to contact us for help.  We offer over-the-phone troubleshooting in addition to on-site and remote support.

How do we send you our accounting documents?

For services performed at your office, we will set a date to get together.
For services performed remotely, we can schedule pickup or drop off of your documents, you may fax or email them to us, or they can be scanned and uploaded to our secure content server.

What If I need temporary help while my bookkeeper is on vacation?

We are more than happy to provide temporary bookkeeping and payroll staffing assistance while your bookkeeper or payroll clerk are out of the office.

Do I need to purchase accounting software?

Absolutely not! We can manage your bookkeeping using our software. If you prefer to maintain the recordkeeping at your office, we can use software that you have purchased.
